Located on the beautiful campus of San Diego State University in La Jolla, California, Torrey Pines Golf Course has been a major golfing destination for the San Diego area since it was designed by famous golf course designer Robert von Hagge. For many years, the course has hosted some of the country’s best tournaments including the Buick Invitational and the Masters Tournament, which are still two of the most popular annual golf events in the area.

Torrey Pines Golf Course was created by Robert von Hagge, who enjoyed playing on a course built by his friend Tom Kite. He named his course after the same man, whom he had worked with at the time, adding touches of his own design to the layout. This was also where he met his wife, Edith Nagy, and the family started the golf course in their backyard in 1948.

The first year of operation saw Torrey Pines golf courses offered to a range of golfers and today, over ten million people use the facilities on an annual basis.
